The ARDIN Emerging Scholars Academy/ICIDS Doctoral Consortium (DC) is an opportunity for PhD students to present their research in areas related to topics of the ICIDS conference. Participants will receive expert feedback on their current research and will have opportunities to discuss their work with peers and mentors. In addition, they will receive guidance on future research directions and career planning.
Following the successful inaugural ARDIN Emerging Scholars Academy in Kobe (Japan) in 2023 and the follow-up events in Barranquilla (Colombia) in 2024 and Malta (2025), this year we will continue with a full-day event on 30 November 2026 to have ample time for presentations, communal feedback, individual discussions with mentors, and discussions about career development.
The event is intended for students who have articulated a research proposal and can point to some initial results. The work should still be in progress and malleable enough to take advantage of feedback provided during the academy day.
